The University City Senior Center, located at 3813 Governor Drive, offers a caring and friendly place for seniors.

Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. They offer coffee, tea and snacks followed by gentle exercise. The cost for lunch is $5 for members and $6 for non-members.

The University City Senior Center, at 9001 Towne Center Drive, a program of Jewish Family Service, now offers two different programs for older adults. Both programs meet at Congregation Beth Israel. One program meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm and offers a caring and friendly place for seniors to spend their day. Coffee and tea are offered in the morning, followed
by gentle exercise. A delicious kosher lunch is served
daily. At 11am and 1pm each day, there are educational
speakers, musical entertainment or current movies. Round
trip transportation is available upon request. The new
Encore program, for older more active adults, will meet two
Wednesdays per month for special events, field trips and
other pre-planned group activities.

Senior Appartments

There are senior appartments at the East end of Governor: Town Park Villas and University City Village.

 

Golf

Play golf at the 9-hole golf course close to the East end of Governor Drive! The canyon is gorgeous and the fee - minimal.
