Volunteers are needed during the set-up on June 12 and 13 from 5:00-9:00pm and all day Saturday, June 14 from 8:30am and take-down on Saturday, June 21 from 8:30am. Even one hour of your time would be gratefully appreciated.

4th of July celebration

This is a call for all those who can help out on the 4th of July celebration to secure beer handling training.

This training if fun, only takes an hour, including the testing, it’s free, and you’ll be able to serve beer at the beer gazebo on the 4th of July!

If this sounds like fun for you, please let us know which Saturday morning, in June, from 9 to 10 works best for you. If you want to train but can’t make Saturdays, let us know which dates and times are best for you. Please, use the Contact us page or send an e-mail to celebration@ucca-news.org.

Sunday concerts

Your recreation council will be providing weekly Sunday concerts at Standley Park this summer. There is a dire need
for “stage hands” to set up the stage at 1:00 p.m. and dismantle it at 7:00 p.m. To allow the “shows to go on”, we are looking for 8 people committed to setting up the stage for 8 concerts on each Sunday from July 16th to August 24h. Compensation will be provided for those willing to commit.

All interested parties should inquire to: sjanderson@sandiego.gov or andy@adreamhomeandloan.com.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
